Dr. Seblewongel Asmare Seyoum
President - AEN
Dr. Seblewongel Asmare Seyoum is a dedicated neurologist and Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa University (AAU). She earned her Medical Doctorate (MD) in 2016 from the University of Gondar, and further specialized in neurology, completing her residency at AAU in 2020. Following her training, Dr. Seblewongel served at Bahir Dar University, where she gained valuable experience in both clinical practice and medical education. Currently, she is working at the Department of Neurology, AAU, where she combines her expertise in patient care with a passion for training the next generation of medical students.
Dr. Behailu Yibe

Dr. Behaylu Yibe Woldemeskel is a dedicated physician and academician specializing in pediatric care and child neurology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2014 from Addis Ababa University (AAU), where he later completed his specialty training in Pediatrics and Child Health in 2018. Demonstrating a commitment to advancing his expertise, he pursued further subspecialty training in Pediatric Neurology at AAU, qualifying in 2023.
Throughout his career, Dr. Behaylu has served in multiple capacities at Addis Ababa University, beginning as a General Practitioner (GP) and pediatrician. His clinical and academic contributions have been integral to the institution, blending hands-on patient care with medical education.
Currently, Dr. Behaylu holds the rank of Assistant Professor at AAU’s School of Medicine, where he practices as both a Pediatrician and Pediatric Neurologist. His work focuses on addressing complex neurological disorders in children, advancing research in the field, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Dr. Selam Kifelew

Dr. Selam Kifelew Melkamu is a passionate neurologist and an Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa University (AAU). She received her Medical Doctorate (MD) from AAU in 2015, where she developed her expertise in neurology. Since 2020, she has been devoted to delivering patient care and fostering the academic growth of future healthcare professionals. Throughout his career, Dr. Behaylu has served in multiple capacities at Addis Ababa University, beginning as a General Practitioner (GP) and pediatrician. His clinical and academic contributions have been integral to the institution, blending hands-on patient care with medical education.

Dereje Melka Oda, MD
Dereje got his MD in 2008 from Jima University. He served as GP at Bishoftu Hospital and then got his specialty certificate in Neurology from the Addis Ababa University in 2016. He is now serving as a Neurologist in Addis Ababa University, College of Health sciences, Department of neurology with the rank of Assistant professor.
Dr. Senay Aregawi

Dr. Senay Aregawi Gebremariam got his MD in 1994 from Addis Ababa University Medical Faculty and his specialty certificate in Internal Medicine from the same institution in 2006. He served as a GP and an internist in several health centers and hospitals and later earned his specialty certification in Neurology from the University of Kentucky, USA, in 2016. He is now serving as a Neurologist and head of the Neurology Unit at Mekelle University, School of Medicine, with the rank of Assistant Professor.
